The warning signs are peeling from the skins on which they lay
The dangers have past and now we're left to wonder why
"Why did I believe?"
"Why did I fear?"
"Why does it matter?"
The answers do not and the bare skin of freedom remains
To live
To breathe
To feel
To Love
To bare TRUTH

Boardwalk Life
We walk the crowded boardwalk and manage not to touch one another yet we are all connected
The beautiful and ugly disappear in laughter
The lights and smells and tastes are silly
Screams in chorus and smiles shared with adrenaline rush along with the painful wait in line
Anxiety is seated as the lap bar comes down secure to hold us captive along a ride parallel to life
We all get on and all get off
The young in us wish to ride it again and for the old in us once is enough
The beautiful and ugly disappear in laughter
The lights and smells and tastes are silly
Screams in chorus and smiles shared with adrenaline rush along with the painful wait in line
Anxiety is seated as the lap bar comes down secure to hold us captive along a ride parallel to life
We all get on and all get off
The young in us wish to ride it again and for the old in us once is enough
